V for Life is thrilled to announce a brand-new partnership with Pip & Oat, the plant-powered café in Llandudno, to bring older vegans and vegetarians together for a heartwarming lunch club. The first gathering is set for Tuesday 10 December, at 11:45am – mark your calendars!
This exciting collaboration is all about fostering connections and creating a welcoming space where older vegans and veggies can share a meal, enjoy a chat, and form lasting friendships.
A menu for connection
The lunch club will offer two delicious special options:
Alternatively, attendees can choose anything from the standard menu.
Every item on the menu is vegan-friendly, nut-free, and lovingly crafted by the Pip & Oat team. The café is dog-friendly and fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring everyone can feel at home.
Here at Pip & Oat, we’re looking forward to hosting our first lunch club aimed at older vegetarians and vegans,” said Sara, Pip & Oat’s manager. “We’re easy to find – right in the heart of Llandudno at 15 Clonmel Street, with free on-street parking available for up to 90 minutes. Come and enjoy a chat, meet new friends, and enjoy something to eat – or even just a drink if you prefer.
Combatting loneliness with shared meals
Loneliness and isolation can be a challenge for many older people, especially those who follow a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle. V for Life’s lunch clubs aim to change that by offering a space where people can come together over a shared passion for plant-based living.
“Lunch clubs like this are a wonderful way to build a sense of community,” said Alex Connell from V for Life. “It’s more than just a meal – it’s about creating meaningful connections.”
