Making it easier to stay veg*n for life

Your support helps us reach more and more key decision makers and influencers in the UK care sector – creating peace of mind for veg*ns in later life. Already, nearly 1 in 6 UK care establishments have joined VfL's UK List – making a pledge to cater well and ethically for older vegans and vegetarians.

You'll be supporting the work of The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Vegetarianism and Veganism – helping us take our advocacy on behalf of older veg*ns to Westminster. So far, we've campaigned on veganism and vegetarianism as protected beliefs, food and medicine labelling, the impact of diet on climate change, institutional catering provisions, and the future holds so much more. We've already delivered cookery training and support to tens of thousands of people via outreach to lunch clubs, care home caterers, carers’ groups, Women's Institutes, Age UK franchises and other older people's groups and networks. Your funding enables this vital work to continue.

Help us continue to be there for older veg*ns

Help us continue to be there for older veg*ns

Our Supporter Services team is just a phone call away, offering a friendly ear to the UK's older vegans and vegetarians. Through free services such as our virtual vegan lunch club and pen- and phone-pals scheme, we've already connected hundreds of like-minded people.

None of us should have to compromise our vegan or vegetarian principles in later life. Around 7,000 older veg*ns live in care homes, and others rely on community meals services, such as ‘meals on wheels’, as a lifeline to living independently. Help us to keep vital publications, such as Dinners to your Door, free to those in need.

Providing grants to support individuals with independent living

Providing grants to support individuals with independent living

Any of us could fall on hard times. Our grants have supported both individuals and local community services. One non-profit veggie meals-on-wheels scheme helps people who can’t leave their homes because of disabilities or mental health issues. Thanks to the support of people like you, the service could grow, enabling more older veg*ns to be reached.
