eBites Summer 2024

Summer is here, and we’re excited to bring you another action-packed eBites. In this issue, our Roving Chef Alex reports on a VfL training day where HC-One care home chefs learned simple, tasty dishes for their residents. 

VfL also visited long-time vegetarian Dennis Flack and celebrate his 100th birthday – we heard his inspiring memories of veggie living, and of his late wife, Elizabeth; a pioneering campaigner for older vegetarians.

Proving it’s never too late to change gears, our Senior Administrator Tom Wise is training for his first half-marathon. He’s raising money for the charity, so please consider sponsoring him and sending words of encouragement. Lastly, we highlight new VfL resources designed to enhance well-being and improve communication for vegetarians in care homes.
