Vegetarian/vegan live-in carer/PA required in rural mid-Wales.

Posted by Alison on 11/01/23 in Community Notices

Hi, I'm looking for a vegetarian, countryside-loving person to help look after my partner as a live-in carer/PA during this February and March.

My partner is 73, has Parkinson's and heart problems, can walk short distances with a stick but tires easily.  I work from home in the mornings and some afternoons and need someone to help look after him, keep him company, make meals, tidy up etc.

We live in an old rambling farmhouse with 4 acres in a beautiful spot by itself in the hills of mid-Wales, We are both life-long vegetarians, about 95% vegan, and try to eat organic wholefoods where possible, though we are flexible too.  We are environmentally conscious, but also embrace technology (eg. we have Alexa and Echo dots round the house so my partner can call for help when needed).

We have local authority funding and we would of course provide a room and food.  Hours and rate of pay negotiable, on a self-employed basis.

It is essential that:  you are a non-smoker, vegetarian/vegan, happy to prepare mostly vegan food, don't have a dog, aren't allergic to cats, and happy to live in an old quirky house in the hills of Wales.
