Dennis Flack

In 2024, V for Life was privileged to visit Dennis Flack on the occassion of his 100th birthday.

Dennis, a committed vegetarian, was previously a tenant of VfL's sister organisation, Vegetarian Housing Association until its dissolution in 2007, when VfL took over ownership of his Sheffield flat.

Having spent his early years eating a largly vegetarian diet, Dennis' commitment to the diet really started through his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth, whom he met in Scarborough while convalescing from his war efforts. The couple married in 1948, and Elizabeth ran a health food shop after they moved to Crawley.

Dennis sadly passed away in late 2024. When asked about his diet, he said "There must be something in relation to the reason I am as old as I am."
