What you’ll make

You’ll cook a rich, restaurant-style Indian curry from scratch – along with rice or flatbread – using real techniques, real spices, and real-time feedback.

Ingredient list and prep notes will be sent ahead of time so you’re ready to cook from the moment we begin.

What you’ll learn

This isn’t just a recipe – it’s a toolkit for great Indian cooking:

Core culinary skills you'll use for life:

  • Spice identification, blending, and toasting for maximum flavour
  • Classic tempering (tadka) technique using whole spices
  • Layering aromatics like garlic, onion, ginger, and chillies for depth
  • Creating curry bases (tomato, coconut, yogurt)
  • Balancing sweet, sour, spicy, and salty elements using everyday ingredients
  • Proper browning and caramelising techniques for rich colour and taste

Why cook along from home?

  • Learn in your own kitchen, using your own tools and ingredients
  • Build practical skills you can replicate confidently again and again
  • Ask questions and get live feedback – it’s hands-on, not just watch-and-learn
  • Save time and money – no travel, no special equipment, no fancy kitchen needed
  • Enjoy food that suits your taste, made fresh by you

Cooking along isn’t just more fun – it helps you learn faster, retain more, and feel confident recreating the dish any night of the week.
