Mushroom and chickpea curry, root vegetable tagine, and apple cake and custard were on the menu for carers when VfL Roving Chef Alex shared cookery tips at St Helens Carers Centre recently.
The centre offers advice and support for carers, and Alex held a cookery demonstration which included handy tips such as joint cookery sessions for carers and those they care for, different ways to increase protein and batch cooking.

The session was Alex's sixth at the centre; a charity that supports local unpaid family carers.
